Department of Crops and Forestry
The Department of Crops and Forestry is an integrated department of crop and forest majors, and in the first semester of the first year, knowledge is cultivated through common education of food, special use, mushrooms, forests, and landscaping, and specialized education is provided by selecting majors suitable for students from the second semester.
The Food Crop Major provides training to foster experts in the food industry who will lead the government's important agricultural policies as well as the production and distribution of crops.

Mushroom majors provide education to develop, produce, process, and cultivate experts in food and medicine mushrooms.
Forest majors train forest management experts who can maximize forest income by efficiently utilizing resources that can be obtained from forests.
The landscape major aims to cultivate experts in landscaping material production technology and landscaping industry-related fields.
Major of Food Crops
Production of food crops especially including rice and barley is essential for providing national basic foods. Maintenance of self-supporting rate of foods above the certain level establishes the national food security as well as the corner stone of stable development of the nation. Since food crops have high labor-productivity, farmers can attain high income through size-optimization of farmlands and mechanization of agricultural works. Curriculum contains physio-ecology of food crops, crop cultivation, soil and fertilization, crop protection, agri-machinery, and farm management.
Major of Medicinal & Industrial Crops
Wellness for Life and Special Crops on health care is increasing day by day. These changes in crop physiology, ecology, growth and other agricultural products represent our country on the basis of the basic theory, as well as herbs, yacon, wild plants and medicinal resources, such as special purpose development, production, processing and marketing to focus on education, training and management professional development aims.

Major of Vegetable Science

Curriculum contains physiology of vegetable crops including fruit, lead, and root vegetables, construction and operation of the plastic film house, glasshouse and soilless-cultivation facility, processing, marketing, and farm management.
Major of Horticulture Environment System
The Major of Horticulture Environmental Systems aims to nurture the best horticultural experts who will lead the horticulture agriculture (facilities vegetables, facility flower, facility fruit tree), which is a byword of future agriculture. Facility horticulture is a core growth engine of the horticulture industry and is related to cutting edge ICT industry and smart creative agriculture.
Facility horticulture is expanding to nutrient cultivation, plant factory, space agricultural field, urban agriculture. The Major of Horticulture Environmental Systems educates the productive aspects such as environment-friendly cultivation technologies which includes Facilities vegetables(tomatoes, paprika, pepper, melon, cucumber, watermelon, korean melon, spinach, lettuce, Functional specialty leafy vegetables, western vegetables), facility fruit tree(apple, pear, grape, subtropical fruit tree), Facility Flower(roses, chrysanthemums, pot plants, cut flowers, succulents), and functional aspects such as facility management and operation. We cultivate the best leaders and local leaders of the facilities horticulture industry in korea by cultivating their abilities, creating high-income and educating their management ability to cope with rapidly changing domestic and foreign market changes.
Major of Fruit Science
High quality fruits are produced in Korea due to four distinct seasons and the big difference in temperature between day and night during the growing stage of fruits. Therefore, lowering the production cost and exploiting international markets will increase the export of fruits.

Curriculum contains pruning, fertilization, irrigation, pest and insect control, safe production in apples, pears, grapes, peaches, and other fruits, mechanization, fruit selection, marketing, processing, and farm management.
Major in Floriculture
The demand of flowers and ornamental plants is getting increased as the living standards of people improve. Therefore, the field of floriculture is emerging as a promising industry. The export of flowers will increase provided that the flower quality and the efficiency of distribution structure are improved.

Major fields of the department are subdivided into cut flowers and pot plants. Curriculum contains physio-ecology, cultivation principle, soil and fertilization, technical cultivation, insect and pest control, post-harvest, marketing and farm management.
Department of Livestock
The Department of Livestock aims to cultivate livestock industry leaders by selecting a major suitable for the student's aptitude after acquiring common knowledge for each major through undergraduate education of livestock major students. In the first semester of the first grade, knowledge will be cultivated through common education in the Korean beef, dairy, pig, poultry, and horse industries, and from the second semester, specialized education will be conducted for each major by selecting a major suitable for students.

Through courses, internships, and research, you will gain practical experience and learn about: Life-cycle production and management, live animal, carcass, and genetic assessment, anatomy and physiology as the basis for reproduction, nutrition, and health management, critical factors influencing animal care and welfare, grazing and pasture management, production of high-value, high-quality, fresh and processed food, etc.
Major of Dairy Science
Continuous increases of national income have promoted the consumption of livestock products to rise. This has resulted in the higher growth of livestock industry relative to other agricultural areas. In accordance with this, the form of livestock husbandry has rapidly changed into a professional occupation or an enterprise from the past auxiliary occupation.
The educational aim focuses on implant self-confidence in an efficient dairy farm management and production of a high quality of milk by means of learning professional knowledge in dairy cattle nutrition, breeding, reproduction, hygiene, marketing, etc. Courses in genetics, physiology, nutrition, and management provide the basis for learning more about dairy production, management, evaluation & selection, dairy products, and animal health and welfare.
Major of Swine Science
Due to people’s changes in diet from increase in the national income, livestock industry takes up the largest part of the agriculture industry. Specifically, swine industry takes up more than half of the total livestock industry.
Since the livestock industry has now become specialized and advanced, we live in a world where we need professional knowledge from production, distribution and consumption.
The public’s recent interest in ‘well-being’ has led to an increase in sales of safe and functional livestock products, with positive feedback from customers regarding Korean pork. Yet, there still lies many challenges in terms of keeping the strong competitiveness in the livestock industry with the countries that Korea established the Free Trade Agreement with, and the international market. Another recent trend is the advancement in biotechnology such as development of organ transplant-specialized pigs and additional livestock with various medical properties.
Major of Swine Science is being managed in order to meet such current changes. With a goal of educating professional business managers in agriculture, we not only educate the fundamentals in livestock breeding, reproduction and nutrition, but goes further into delivering experience in the fields of manufacturing, distribution, and management.
Major of Poultry Science
The domestic poultry industry now requires specialized knowledge, ranging from production to distribution and consumption, as most of the domestic poultry industry is now home and big.
It has also been a long time since social interest in 'well-being ' has increased, and there has been a growing preference for white fleshed meat as a less expensive source of animal protein with high protein.
In order to respond to this trend and develop the poultry industry, the government should produce safe, high-quality poultry products and distribute them to consumers ' tables.
Recently, however, the domestic poultry industry faces the reality that it must have a higher level of competitiveness and technology due to FTA among many countries, outbreaks of avian influenza.

Major of Horse Industry
The Major of Horse Industry has been created to nurture skilled workers with specialized knowledge in the field of production, breeding, training of horse. It also provides a systematic education on various industries that are related with horses.
Department of Agriculture and Fisheries Convergence
The Department of Agriculture and Fisheries Convergence is an integrated department of convergence and fisheries, and in the first semester of the first year, knowledge is cultivated through common education in agricultural and fisheries processing, agricultural and fisheries business, industrial insects, fish farming, and fisheries.

The Industrial Insect Charging Corporation conducts systematic theoretical education on various industrial insect factors and intensive field training to acquire professional training and management methods.
The fish farming major provides specialized education on new technologies such as ecology, aquaculture technology, and theory of aquaculture organisms to cultivate aquaculture experts such as seafood and freshwater fish.
The Fisheries Biophagy Major aims to foster future fisheries managers who can lead the stable maintenance of fishing villages, sharing the value of the local aquaculture industry, and the development of the aquaculture industry.
Major of Agriculture & Fisheries Processing
The agriculture and fisheries industry is diversifying the structure and form of the industry through the multifunctional agriculture industry, which is linked to the processing of agricultural products, secondary products, distribution of processed products, tourism and experiences.

Major of Industrial Entomology
The Major of Industrial Entomology focuses on education and fostering human resources relating to industry of sericulture, apiculture and beneficial insects based on a thorough knowledge of the insect taxonomy, physiology and ecology. The Major of Industrial Entomology provides intensive training program to teach rearing, storage and management techniques for the mass production, processing and sale of various industrial insects.
Major of Fish Aquaculture
Major of Aquaculture educates to students to be experts on marine and freshwater fishes, shellfishes, Crustacea, seaweeds, and aquarium fishes which take a growing public interest recently, and lecture to students about new technology on ecology, cultural technique, theory and so on.
In the second grade, students can choose long-term field works what they want in the inside and outside of the country, then acquire know-how on new world-class techniques and managements. Students can be professional manager as an aquaculture expert who develops fisheries and leads fishing village with large income.
Department of Liberal Arts
The Department of Liberal Arts aims to cultivate basic knowledge for farmers and fishermen of Korea National University of Agriculture and Fisheries, including philosophy, ideology, basic science, management, economy, mathematics, statistics, and linguistics, and provides common education for undergraduate students in the first semester.
